The Bell 204 Series – ‘Medium-Lifter’ helicopter, which is ideally suited to carry out high volume Aerial Application, Fire Fighting, and Lifting and Construction Operations.
When McDermott Aviation carries out an Aerial Application, the Bell 204 is capable of carrying ‘spray loads’ of up to 1200 litres and is fitted with a Differential GPS unit to give our client’s precise swath guidance and real time plotting. These units, coupled with our spray flow meters, provide accurate application of the product being applied. We are able to provide print outs of the treated areas at completion, showing exactly where we have flown and treated.
All of our Aerial Application machines are fitted with on-board ‘smoke generators’ to enable us to monitor wind velocity and direction, plus are fitted woth skid mounted mirrors to allow us to keep a view whilst flying our application system.
The Bell 204 is also well suited for high volume Fire Fighting, and can be fitted with either a 1380 ltr ‘ISOLAIR’ water bombing tank or an under-slung bucket, up to 1400 ltr capacity.
The lifting capacity of the Bell 204 series when performing out Aerial Lifting, is capable of up to 1400 kg’s on the hook, making it excellent for;
