Bell 214ST
Aircraft Overview
The 214ST delivers strong performance across heavy-lift, long-range and multi-role operations.
Powered by two General Electric CT7-2A engines rated at 1,725 HP each, the 214ST delivers strong performance across heavy-lift, long-range and multi-role operations.
KEY PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS
Versatile Multi-Role Operations
The aircraft can be configured to carry up to 18 passengers and offers a maximum external lift capability of approximately 3,582 kg, providing a useful external load of around three tonnes.
With endurance of up to approximately 3.5-4.0 hours, depending on the configuration and mission profile, the 214ST is well suited to extended firefighting operations, search and rescue missions, logistics support, and high-demand lifting tasks, where range, payload and twin-engine performance are critical.
The helicopter features a large internal cabin suitable for personnel or cargo transport, the option for an internally mounted rescue winch, and capability for heli-rappel operations.
Heavy Lift & Construction Operations
The aircraft’s lifting capability supports operations such as:
- Heavy-lift construction and infrastructure work
- Mining and exploration support
- High-rise and restricted-access plant installation or removal
- Tower construction and deconstruction
- Salvage operations
- Transport of generators, portable buildings, shipping containers and heavy industrial equipment
- Ferrying equipment and supplies into remote fire grounds
Disaster Aid & Emergency Response
With strong performance in hot-and-high conditions and operational capability up to 10,000 feet density altitude, the 214ST is an ideal choice for remote, mountainous and environmentally challenging environments. Skid undercarriage enables safe operation from confined or unimproved landing areas with minimal ground support.
